Making a difference
Karen Sheridan is a fellow member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr FCMI) and has significant experience in the third and public sector. Until recently, Karen worked for ENABLE Scotland, a leading Scottish charity delivering innovative services for people with learning disabilities, as Assistance Director of Business Development. ENABLE Scotland has 4,000 members and 2,500 customers throughout 30 Scottish local authorities, around 2,000 employees and an annual turnover of circa £30m. Karen was previously head of Corporate Services within ENABLE, where she played a lead role in the strategic development of the organisation and led the marketing and communications,
legal, business development and customer service teams, overseeing an operational budget of £2 million per year.
In May Karen was appointed Managing Director Scotland for Community Integrated Care, one of the UK's largest health and social care charities with over 5000 staff and has now taken up her position in this challenging and worthwhile role.
